Wesley Graham the Houston Gator Club's 2005 scholarship recipient is a native Houstonian. He attended Rummel Creek Elementary and Memorial Middle schools in the Spring Branch district. Wes attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a National Merit Scholar achieving a 1510 on the SAT with a perfect 800 on the verbal portion.

He was very involved both at school and in the community. He played football from the age of nine until his Junior year at Strake. Wes picked up La Crosse in his Freshman year at Strake and played on the JV and Varsity teams. Outside of school Wes pursued his love of sailing. He has been an active member of the Houston Yacht Club racing team, achieving state and national recognition in the Optimist, Club 420, and keel boats. He was ranked #1 skipper in the Club 420's by the Texas Sailing Association for 2002. Along with his racing experience, he has shared his love of sailing by acting as a counselor, coach and junior board officer at the Houston Yacht Club.

Wes is now pursuing a degree at Florida in Interdisciplinary Studies (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology). He is in the Honors Program and hopes to continue on to medical school.
